She is greatly influenced by Brazilian music, which she discovered when Hermeto Pascoal did a residency at her alma mater, the New England Conversatory of Music. Kerry has performed around the US and Canada at venues including Smalls, Mezzrow, the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, the Black Dolphin, Mr. Tipples, Frankie's Jazz Cafe, and others. She teaches jazz piano at Portland State University and gives clinics on improvisation and composition at universities around the country.

As a bandleader, his trio featuring Patrick Golichnik and Michael Raynor, has become a fixture at clubs throughout the region. As a collaborator, Radsliff is a first-call for many; frequently playing in the bands of Ron Steen, Michael Raynor, Cyrus Nabipoor, Galen Clark, Christopher Brown, Chuck Israels, Alan Jones, Kerry Politzer, George Colligan, Dan Balmer, Idit Shner, Kathleen Hollingsworth, Torrey Newhart and many more: a veritable who’s who of Oregon’s jazz musicians. In addition to his steady work around the PNW, last year afforded Jack opportunities to work as sideman to Jonathan Pinson, Greg Ward, Domo Branch and Charlie Brown; release his sophomore record “Barefoot” (PJCE Records) featuring Randy Porter, Todd Sickafoose and Alan Jones; and tour the west coast extensively with Ian George, Cyrus Nabipoor and the Jack Radsliff Trio. Jack’s playing can be heard on more than a dozen records to date. That was guitar great--and one-time Mel Brown bandmate-- George Benson's reaction after hearing the Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group back in 2003. In fact, this true all-star band has been a sensation going back to 1997, when they began a 20-year run on Thursdays at Portland’s legendary “Jimmy Mak’s” music venue (The Oregonian dubbed them “Jimmy Mak’s signature group”). With a collective resume that reads like a "Who's Who" of NW jazz, blues, and soul, this group has the talent and confidence to be completely spontaneous--from their blistering solos to their improvised arrangements and segues. TICKETS $20 | 21+ PLEASE Owen Evans is a dynamic saxophonist and composer based in Portland, Oregon. He holds degrees in music education and jazz studies, and recently earned a Master’s Degree from Portland State University where he studied improvisation and composition with George Colligan, Darrell Grant, and Tim Willcox. Evans’s roots are in the Seattle music scene. He has performed and recorded across a wide swath of genres with Seattle mainstays, including Battlestar Kalakala, the Jazz Police, the Braxmatics, and Tinkham Road. After moving to Portland in 2022, Evans began focusing on composition and working as a band-leader. His debut album, One-Way Passage: Live at Blue Butler Studios, will be released next year. The album features Evans’ original music performed alongside former teacher Colligan and contemporaries Matt Sazima, Dae Bryant, and Marshall Peterson. Evans’s compositions reflect the full breadth of his wide-ranging experience and influences. Evans has performed all along the West Coast, and looks forward to sharing his music with as many new audiences as possible in 2025. While living in Portland, Pepe has explored many different facets of the performing arts which include being a comedian and Co-Headliner at Harvey’s Comedy Club, appearing on television in Nowhere Man, Under Suspicion, in the NBC movie of the week Terror in the Towers with George Clooney, as co-host on KATU The Affection Connection, dancer and choreographer on the Cindy Williams television special, and he was featured on Bill Plympton’s film Guns on the Clackamas. Kerry has performed around the US and Canada at venues including Smalls, Mezzrow, the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, the Black Dolphin, Mr. Tipples, Frankie's Jazz Cafe, and others. She teaches jazz piano at Portland State University and gives clinics on improvisation and composition at universities around the country.

Chuchito Valdés, following in the footsteps of his famed father Chucho Valdés and grandfather Bebo Valdés, continues the legacy of great piano players form Cuba. With influences of Caribbean rhythms and jazz, Chuchito creates an exciting and energetic blend of spicy music that drives audiences wild. This piano master captivates with his sensitivity and drives excitement with his dynamic band. Chuchito has recorded and performed piano with the world renown Cuban band, Irakere, which he led for 2 years. He has also performed at festivals, clubs and concerts throughout the world: from Cuba and the Caribbean to North America, South America, and Europe. Chuchito is recognized as a master of Cuban music including Son, Danzon, Cuban Timba and Guaguanco. He has also extensively studied classical music including harmony and composition. His original compositions and arrangements draw on classical harmonic and structural techniques. In his performances, Chuchito’s music draws on many styles including Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz, Bebop, Danzon, Cha-Cha-Cha, Son Montuno and much more. Chuchito Valdés currently resides in Cancun, Mexico and is a frequent performer in the United State and Canada.

From New York City, to Woodstock with Joe Cocker, through ten years of world-touring with Tom Jones, to forming The Bobby Torres Ensemble – his own Latin Jazz group in Portland – Bobby Torres has been on the music scene for 50 years.
TICKETS $20 - 21+ PLEASE Ben was born and raised in Tennessee, close to the musical cities of Nashville and Memphis, where he discovered his love of blues, rock, and jazz. Influenced by Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and John Coltrane at an early age; Ben has developed a style blended with not only jazz elements, but Latin, classical and world music as well. Ben has studied, shared the stage, and toured with national and internationally known artists including Rick Zunigar (Stevie Wonder), Tony Dumas, Leon Russell, Dick Berk and Charles McPherson. While living in Los Angeles, he studied classical guitar with Scott Tennant (of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), Evan Hirschelman, and Robert Mayeur. Ben has performed in music festivals all over the U.S., including the Reno Jazz Festival and Portland Jazz Festival. He has performed with local jazz greats including Ron Steen, Andre St. James, Bobby Torres, Dave Captein and Darrell Grant. Ben holds his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies degree from Portland State University where he focused on orchestration, composition, jazz arranging and jazz piano. Ben currently resides in Portland, OR where he performs regularly in jazz, chamber music and Latin ensembles.
