TICKETS $25 $20 - ALL AGES Last fall, Machado traveled with Darrell Grant to Eugene, Oregon to put on a very special show at The Jazz Station– "Machado Mijiga Presents: MSG," (Mijiga|Sickafoose|Grant), featuring Eugene resident and bassist extraordinaire, Todd Sickafoose. Mijiga|Sickafoose|Grant played to a packed house, and the audience loved the idea of three band members from three different generations, sharing their compositions and creative language for a captive audience. This time, Machado is bringing Sickafoose to Portland to unite with TWO G's instead of one. Todd's longtime friend and colleague Mike Gamble, and David Goldblatt; keyboard phenom and film composer extraordinaire. MSG has now become MSG(2), AKA "The Sequel," and will feature original music from three different generations of Oregon residents for a truly special night of deep musical conversation as some of Machado's favorite improvisers meet for the very first time a combo, to explore each other's music.
