Austin Ford Quintet Featuring Noah Myers

Austin Ford is an internationally acclaimed Jazz trumpet player from Portland, Oregon currently based in New York City. Austin attended the University of North Texas, where he was a two-year member, arranger, and composer for the Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band. Austin, now living in NYC, performs regularly with the Village Vanguard Orchestra (formerly the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra), Grammy winning bassist John Benitez, and on the Broadway Show “Just in time”. In the past few years, Austin has received several prestigious accolades. Most notably, he is the winner of the 2025 ITG Carmine Caruso International Trumpet Competition. He also placed second in the 2021 ITG Ryan Anthony Memorial Trumpet Competition, and won the 2021 U.S. Army Blues solo competition. Austin now holds a master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied under the tutelage of Ingrid Jensen, Jon Faddis, Scott Wendholt, and others. He regularly performs around the city at various venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, and the Village Vanguard. He will be joined by Noah Myers, a New York City-based guitarist, educator, and band leader with a background in a variety of improvisational music ranging from straight-ahead jazz and Afro-Cuban styles to alternative rock. He is a graduate of University of North Texas and The Manhattan School of Music, and has performed with luminaries such as Christian McBride, Dave Kikoski, Ingrid Jensen, and Donny McCaslin. Noah is also a current member of the Grammy winning bassist, John Benitez’s group, “Revolution” which regularly plays at venues such as Ornithology, Arthur’s Tavern, Dizzy’s, and events such as the Jersey City Jazz Festival. As a leader, he has toured Romania and Poland and recently premiered his group, “Sonder”, at the 2025 Detroit Jazz Festival and 2025 Washington Heights Jazz Festival.
