Portland! This is a late show you do NOT want to miss. These world-class musicians who spend their nights playing on some of the biggest stages in the world are gathering at The 1905 for a late night jam session, and you are all invited!

Led by acclaimed saxophonist Mike Burton, this will not be your typical show or jam. This is gonna be THE after hours musical hang of the year!

Raised in a deeply musical household in Jackson, Mississippi, Mike Burton’s artistry blends Southern soul, jazz tradition, and modern groove. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Studies from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, studying under the legendary David Baker. Those roots shine through in every performance, from his rich horn lines to his dynamic, crowd-moving arrangements.

Currently touring with Doja Cat, Mike’s career reads like a who’s who of music royalty. He has toured and performed with artists including Usher, Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, Mary J. Blige, Anita Baker, New Edition, PJ Morton, and the late Aretha Franklin, among many others.

Taking one night off the tour, Mike and this extraordinary group of musicians are bringing their talents and good vibes to collaborate with our own talented local roster for an epic jam at "The 5."
